Brushwood’s Beltane Maypole

May 4, 2024 –   Celebrate the sun and the fertile land below. During this time, we revel in the warmth of the sunshine as well as the growth, vitality, and fertility that it promises.  The Maypole signs that the happy season of warmth and comfort has returned.  Everyone is encouraged to dance (directions give and lots of fun) or drum.  Ribbons should be 2 inches wide and 18 – 24 feet long.  Schedule:

  • 11:00 a.m. – Wreath Making (usually women, but all welcome)
  • 12:30 p.m. – Pole Erecting (mostly men, but all are welcome)
  • 2:00: p.m. – Maypole Dancing & Drumming (drummers and dancers appreciated)
  • After – jump over a small Bale Fire for luck (take ambers to the Roundhouse)

Event Entrance:  $15     Book 1 tent site for Saturday to cover your entrance.  (Or choose another accommodation.)

1st Saturday in May!  Open Friday – Sunday.  Saturday Onsite Registration begins at 10:00 am.   (Seasonal Members are FREE)
